Only One Earth
Having imbibed and being imbued with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) slogan of ‘Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature’ under the ‘Only One Earth’ campaign; SPADE crusaders against Climate Change in districts like Purulia, Murshidabad and Birbhum of West Bengal observed the World Environment Day (Monday, 5th June, 2023) with support from community members including the children.
In Puncha Block of Purulia, 40 girl and boy students from SPADE-Bartika Shikshan Kendra in presence of eminent Environmentalist Mr. Prasanta Rakshit, 13 male and female members of Water Users’ Association (WUA) in Nabagram Block of Murshidabad and 542 farmers in Blocks like Rajnagar, Bolpur, Dubrajpur, Suri I and Md. Bazar of Birbhum district separately observed the Programme through planting saplings, discussing about the importance of maintaining ecological balance and eradicating plastic for promoting the environment of the Only One Earth that we love and live in.
